Eriksson & Van Wijck is a Swedish-Dutch duo that fuses traditional Swedish folk music with contemporary jazz elements, creating a unique and intimate musical experience. The duo consists of Magdalena Eriksson on violin and vocals, and Armand van Wijck on chromatic harmonica.

Together they craft a distinctive soundscape where the resonant tones of the violin and the warm timbres of the chromatic harmonica intertwine. Their repertoire includes modern interpretations of traditional Swedish pieces such as "Hörgalåten" and "Bingö Lilla Långdans," infused with improvisation. Audiences consistently praise their unique sound and the seamless blend of their instruments, often expressing pleasant surprise at how well the violin and harmonica complement each other. Over the past few years, Eriksson & Van Wijck have toured extensively in Norrland and the Netherlands, with regular performances in Stockholm and often collaborating with Svenska Kyrkor. Magdalena Eriksson, hailing from Ångermanland, Sweden, is a versatile musician and composer deeply rooted in Swedish folk traditions. Her career includes touring as a musician and storyteller with Västanå Teater, releasing albums featuring both traditional and contemporary Swedish folk music, and performing at Stockholm's Stadsteatern.

Armand van Wijck, originally from the Netherlands, brings a rich blend of jazz and world music influences to the duo. His Indo-Dutch-Creole heritage has fueled his interest in blending jazz with diverse musical traditions. After completing his jazz degree in Rotterdam, he moved to Gothenburg in 2020 to further develop as a musician. He has toured with multiple projects in a.o. Sweden, Western Europe, China and South Africa.
